My name is Kaitlyn Garrison and I'm from
Rockwall, TX a small suburb outside of Dallas. I'm an English major with a
minor in Secondary Education and I’m going into my junior year here at Texas
Tech. During the fall and spring semesters I live in Lubbock but on summer
and winter breaks I commute back to Rockwall where I live with my mom- Karla,
dad- Gary, older brother- Jordan, and our three dogs- Zoey, Coconut, and Buddy.
My interests include dogs, books, coffee, hammocking,
and community. During my time at Tech I’ve had the opportunity to get involved
in Sigma Phi Lambda or Phi Lamb as well as the incredible college ministry—Paradigm—at
First Baptist Lubbock.
After undergrad I’d like to pursue a masters in
English Literature and teach at the high school level while applying to PhD
programs in hopes of one day becoming a college professor.
